Proceeds will help fund Imagination Station 2.0 as a replacement for 27year old Imagination Station

Grand Haven, MI (January 11, 2014) – Local volunteers are kicking‐off the Reimagine Project, a fundraising effort to build a fully accessible play‐space in Grand Haven. The new play‐space will replace the current Imagination Station at Mulligan’s Hollow, a favorite play‐space to many but now 27‐years‐old and in need of repair. The fundraising goal for the project is $500,000, with build week tentatively set for October 2018.

This year during Grand Haven’s annual Winterfest (January 25 ‐ 28, 2018), the Reimagine Project will be the primary fundraising benefactor. “This is a great opportunity for visitors and our entire community to get excited about the Reimagine Project, learn how they can donate towards the $500,000 goal, and also how they can volunteer for build week,” says Kevin Galbavi, Winterfest Chairman.

The Reimagine Project team will hold its Official Fundraiser Kickoff Event on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 2:00 7:00 pm during Grand Haven’s Winterfest . The event will be hosted by the Grand Haven Eagles Club and include beer and wine tasting, pizza, kids programming, a silent auction, and a live auction. The cost is $20 per adult for 8 tastes and pizza, with add on tastes for $2 each. The kids program runs from 2:00 ‐ 5:00 pm with free hot dogs or chili dogs and hot chocolate or pop, magic shows, coloring and games with adult supervision. The silent auction runs from 2:00 ‐ 6:00 pm and the live auction starts at 5:30pm.

Proceeds from other Winterfest events will also benefit the Reimagine Project, including an outdoor Ice Cream Eating Contest, which will take place on Saturday, Jan 27, 2018 at 4:00 pm. During the outdoor Bonfire Bash, participants will have a chance to eat ice cream without utensils reminiscent of a pie‐eating contest. The $10 entry fee will be directed towards the new Imagination Station. Registration starts at 3:30pm.
